PNAClamps are unique probes that facilitate the detection of mutated DNA sequences amongst wild-type sequences. PNAClamps exploit the strong binding affinity of PNA to its complementary DNA to prevent PCR amplification of wild-type DNA sequences whilst allowing amplification of mutated DNA.
