About CRB

Safety

At Cambridge Research Biochemicals, the safety of staff, customers and the public at large is paramount.  Both our founding directors, Emily Humphrys and Alison White, are trained chemists with a background of working with hazardous materials.  It’s natural, therefore, that we would create a company where safe, comfortable and tidy working conditions are a priority.

We have a comprehensive Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy which controls all our activities, and which is regularly reviewed.  Amongst other things, it requires us to:

  • meet all relevant laws, regulations and international agreements
  • provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and appropriate equipment for all staff
  • conduct all activities safely, protecting the health of staff and anyone else who may be affected
  • ensure our activities are acceptable to the community at large and keep the environmental impact reduced to a practicable minimum
  • promote best practice and maintain commitment to continuous improvement
  • be open to the exchange of SHE knowledge
  • provide SHE awareness and information for staff and ensure they always work to avoid harm to themselves, others and the environment

Safety Auditing

Each work area is audited regularly by a member of staff for compliance with our Safety, Health and Environmental policy. Audit results are discussed at monthly meetings and the minutes circulated to staff.

Cambridge Research Biochemicals operates to the following SHE laws and regulations:
