  CRB’s expansion and relocation.

In January 2014, Cambridge Research Biochemicals relocated their laboratory and office space to a brand new state of the art facility comprising cell culture and peptide synthesis suites in addition to office space.

A £1M investment programme, supported partly by a keenly contested 'Let's Grow' grant, was put in place to develop the new 10,000 square foot facility.

The move has resulted in an increased peptide synthesis capacity and a brand new cell culture suite, meaning a faster and more efficient service.

Within peptide production, CRB's expansion will permit the offer of a wider range of targets and more creative and complex modifications.

CRB renews supply contract with the MRC.

In May 2014, Cambridge Research Biochemicals announced renewal of its contract with UK SBS, formerly known as RCUK Shared Services Centre Ltd (RCUK SSC Ltd) for a fourth year, with the original contract being issued in 2010.

The contract renewal reflects the progress and commitment to quality that CRB have made over the past four years since the agreement was first established and came as a result of the high level of customer satisfaction demonstrated.

The renewal is highly significant to CRB, as it serves to consolidate the existing relationships with the Medical Research Council.

Furthermore, relations with new MRC Institutes can be enhanced and progressed. Under the new contract, CRB will continue to supply the MRC with custom-synthesised peptides and custom-generated polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies for a further 12 months.

CRB and Key Organics announce exclusive peptide supply agreement.

In June 2014, Cambridge Research Biochemicals and Key Organics Limited entered into a worldwide exclusive supply & marketing agreement that makes CRB’s peptides available to Key Organics' global life science customer base through its online BIONET catalogue.

CRB will continue to focus on custom peptide synthesis, whilst Key Organics sells the catalogue peptide range.

Within its BIONET brand, Key Organics offers an extensive range of over 74,000 screening compounds, intermediates, building blocks and biochemicals to the international pharmaceutical, biotechnology and agrochemical industries.
