CRB launches highly functional new website

Cambridge Research Biochemicals (CRB), a specialist life science research tool provider based in the North East of England, today launches its brand new, much improved, user friendly website. The site, which has been re-designed and re-launched for improved customer usability and experience and incorporates new content and design features, is based around the WordPress system. This renders the content fully amendable by CRB’s Team, which suits the custom aspect of the business in addition to being able to update the site regularly in line with developments in the field. This will also allow CRB to keep its customers updated with current news items, publications, case studies and new services as soon as they are launched.

CRB was one of the first companies in the field to have its own website and always likes to remain at the forefront of modern design and technology which is heavily reflected in the new site. Although CRB retains its signature colour and branding, incorporating a bright, bold and uplifting colour scheme consisting of blue, green and purple shades, modernisation of the existing branding has created an exciting yet clean and fresh finish to the site.

The new website’s design, content migration and branding was completed entirely by North East based designers and companies. The new content, colour schemes and images were created and selected by Emily Humphrys, CRB’s Commercial Director, who has a passion for design, colour and architecture and Joanna Deans of ‘Identity’, a Darlington based freelance graphic designer. The site was developed by Peacock Carter, a web development agency based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The new website comes at a busy time for the Company who, just six months ago, launched DISCOVERY Peptides, the first of two new e-commerce websites offering the same high quality peptides that CRB are famed for but at catalogue scale and price point. Earlier this year, a second catalogue site followed, DISCOVERY Antibodies, containing complex, novel and sought after anti-peptide antibodies. All included products have been manufactured or developed at CRB’s Teesside premises by highly skilled peptide chemists and Immunologists. Customers have also been consulted and have suggested targets they would like to see available for purchase.

The distinctive new DISCOVERY logos were generated by Thumb Design, a Newcastle based Design and Branding Agency who also designed a series of promotional products and the bold and colourful packaging used to ship the goods to the Customer.

Emily Humphrys, CRB’s Commercial Director commented “It’s been a busy, but so far fruitful and prosperous six months for CRB with the launch of three new websites. We are hoping that with a fresh and vibrant new ‘storefront’ for our products and services, this will allow us to reach our customers more efficiently and provide an enhanced user experience and an improved buying process.”
